The Other Side Revealed |
||
Many of those who study spirit contact judge that the difference between the valid medium or channel and the huge majority of humanity lies in the truth that the medium's threshold of awareness may be set lower than that of others. In other words, the intermediate has access to levels of awareness that lie beyond the normal "reach" of the subconscious. The ghost contact generally use in daze, and while in this state of sleep, he or she claims to be under the contact of a spirit guide or spirit control. Spiritualists thought in the reality of the guide as a spiritual entity apart from the medium. Psychical researchers theorize that the control individuality is but a secondary personality of the medium that is able to dip into the psychic abilities residing in the subconscious. Spirit communicators are capable to send feelings, known as clairsentience, to the medium. This is generally useful if they are trying to specify what complaint caused them to pass over. They may for instance send a soft pain to the heart of the medium; the medium would then be able to tell the client how their loved one died. This is used as outstanding authentication. These thoughts, feelings, voices and pictures range in intensity and are combined together. Sometimes the information flows so naturally that the medium has no qualms about the information being given, but on other occasions the information can look as if a little patchy, and the medium needs to work harder to resolve what comes through. One clarification for this variation in power or quality could be how well the spirit communicator has learned to communicate, but it could also be due the medium's ability to tune in and the rapport he or she has recognized with spirit guides who play an important role in the procedures. |
