Elements Of Palmistry:

Palmistry readings is Reading of the hand on the classification of the Palam elements of Nature which are: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. According to them the Earth hands are generally broad with square palms and fingers. They are thick and have coarse skin and ruddy color. The length of the palm of an Earth hand from the wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually equal to the length of the fingers.

Earth Hands

The pure earth hand is solid and well built, with a square palm and short, well built fingers. The very few palmar lines will be solidly etched into the palms, giving the hand a very calm and robust appearance. Skin Texture is likely to be coarse with the skin ridges easily seen.

Air Hands

The Air hands have also square or rectangular palms. They have long fingers with some times protruding knuckles, low set thumbs and dry skin. The length of the palm from the writs to the bottom of the fingers is usually less than the length of the fingers.

Water Hands

The Water hands can be identified by their long and sometimes oval shaped palms. The fingers of water hands are generally long, flexible or conical. The length of the palm from the writs to the bottom of the fingers is usually less than the width across the widest part of the palm and usually equal to the length of the fingers.

Fire Hands

The Fire hands have square or rectangular palms. Their skin is usually flushed or pink. The fingers are comparatively short. The length of the palm from the wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually greater than the length of the fingers.

It is easy to determine the dominant trait and temperament of the person from the shape and the quality of lines on his hand. The persons with Earth and Water hands usually have fewer and deeper lines on their palms, while the Air and Fire hands have more yet less clearly defined lines.

Dominant planets in hand

Usually it is not easy to find the dominant planetary influence on the personality of the subject from studying astrology. It is much easier to do so in palmistry as the hand provides clear indications of the dominant elements and planets. The  palmists compare various kinds of hands to judge the astrological elements.

 Planetary Influences

To know which dominant Planet influences you, place your right hand flat on the table with your fingers stretched out in a straight extension of the arm without twisting them sideways. First put your thumb close to your index finger. If the tip of the thumb is above the midpoint of your index finger, you have a strong influence of Mars/Aries in your birth chart. If your thumb is shorter, you lack the ability to assert yourself.

If the tip of your index finger is longer than the middle finger, you can count upon the strong influence of Jupiter/ Sagittarius. If the index finger is shorter than the middle finger, Jupiter would recede in the background.

The middle finger represents Saturn/Capricorn. It should always be longer than all other fingers. If it is so it indicates that you have sufficient sense of responsibility towards yourself and others.
