As a Professional Counsler I used to treats adults and couples, children and adolescents, as well as families. Our psychological assessments and treatments utilize a humanistic approach and often are interpersonal in nature. Services were provided for severely emotionally disturbed children ages 5-12 years who were either dependents or wards of the Juvenile Court. Such services entailed doing individual, group, family psychotherapy as well as psycho-diagnostic testing, reports for the Juvenile Court, in addition to evaluating and designing clinical treatment programs for the children in the residential therapeutic milieu . The children in the program have histories of severe abuse; e.g., ritual, sexual, physical, neglect, emotional. As Senior Clinical Psychologist; responsible for doing clinical supervision for the Psychological Interns in the program. 1989-1990 School Counselor at Chamlian Armenian School, Glendale, California. Psychotherapeutic services were provided to students from grades 1-9 (ages 6-15 years). Many of these children were from war torn countries in the Middle East and have experienced the horrors of war and terrorism. In addition; psycho-diagnostic testing and evaluations for the purpose of designing Individual Educational Programs for those students having certain emotional problems that were interfering with the their ability to learn or function in a classroom setting. 1987-1989 Served as Doctorial Dissertation Advisor and committee member at California School Of Professional Psychology; Los Angeles, California. 1982-1990 Glendale Family Service; Glendale, California. Services entailed doing Individual, Couple, Family, Group Psychotherapy. This included working with the part of the child clinical population that had been deemed by the Juvenile Court as sex offenders or sex abuse reactive children.
